The Baby Room
The baby room is located in a purpose built baby unit, with heating & air con to keep the room as comfortable as possible. The room is decorated with bright colourful decorations, making it a fun and welcoming play room.
Here's a few things we get up to during the day...
The Messy Area helps is all about expressive arts and design. We use a sand tray, water tray, paint, jelly, beans, gloop, shaving foam, and sawdust to explore and understand textures. This enables creative development, and social development with staff and friends.
Story Corner has a comfy sofa, and is a place for our daily story time. This builds communication, language, and literacy skills.
The Music Area has lots of instruments from handbells to shakers and drums. We learn songs with actions, which build independence, communication, co-ordination, and skills in working together.
The Role Play Area is a fun place to dress up. We have lots of costumes so the children can be Firemen, Nurses, Doctors, Police. This builds an understanding of society and the people in it.
Construction Corner has a range of building products including building blocks, Duplo bricks, and wooden bricks. These can be used to teach the curiculum in a fun way, such as counting, hand eye co-ordination, and imaginative play.
Small World is a place to let the imagination go wild. We have farms, dolls house, train tracks, and a host of other toys which helps children to understand the World. It's also great for social interaction and making relationships playing with friends.
Dinner table – We all sit together for dinner around one table to encourage interaction, and all children are taught manners and how to use cutlery. Each day, there is a choice of two meals, and we can accommodate special dietary requirements. Fruit is served at breakfast, followed by Yogurt or Fruit Lunch. Tea is freshly prepared to ensure the 5 a day of veg. Healthy snacks are also available during the day.
